About Cecilia

At the age of ten, Cecilia Hedlund first trained with the Swedish “Ludvika Minicirkus.” Her prior experience in artistic gymnastics provided a perfect foundation to become a skilled handstand acrobat. Right after graduating from high school in 1993, she began her international career as a handstand equilibrist. Thanks to a Swedish circus scholarship, she was able to study at the École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal in 1996. In 2001, Cecilia Hedlund moved to Germany. Since 2005, she has been living with her family in a small village near Berlin.

1979-1987

Apparatus gymnastics at KFUM Ludvika.

1984

First performance with „Ludvika Mini Cirkus“. Founded by the artist duo Barbro & Ola Nordström.

1989

Silver prize with the duo „Bellboys“ at the Circus Festival Wuqiao, China.

1990

Silver Elephant with the duo „Youth Flash“ at the Wiesbaden Youth Festival.

1992

Performance at Euro Disney in Paris.

1993

First contract at the „Hansa Theater Hamburg“.

1995

„April Spring Friendship Festival“ in North Korea. Cecilia was also invited in 1998 and 2002.

1996

Handstand training at the „Ecole National de Cirque“ in Montreal, Canada. Cecilia and director Jan Rok Achard.

1997

First contract at the „NGK Theater“ in Osaka, Japan.

1999

Carl-Einar Häckner’s Varieté Show at „Lisebergsparken“, Sweden. One year later at the „Chamäleon Varieté“ in Berlin.

1999
